I am a UX and Product Designer with a passion for collaboration.
I started my career working in sales at an early-stage startup and learned how to empathize and communicate with a wide range of audiences, a skill I’ve found myself incorporating into my daily design practice. My experience also spans a full spectrum of work environments - from a young startup to a global consulting firm to a large cultural institution - and has encouraged me to be adaptable while navigating three very distinct environments.
I like to bring my entrepreneurial and collaborative nature to my work. Eager to immerse myself in a new field and learn a new skill, I was first drawn to UX Design because of its interdisciplinary nature and seemingly endless opportunities for application. I still continue to find inspiration in the multitude of applications UX presents - if you take the time to think and observe, it really does exist everywhere!
Get to know me
I love to read and Don Norman’s The Design of Everyday Things was what initially piqued my interest in UX Design
My academic background is in English and Art History, which I feel is the perfect summation of UX design: using visuals as a means of communication
Two of my favorite artists are John Akomfrah and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye (check them out!); Goya is also a tried-and-true favorite
I love to see how design thinking intersects with aspects of my art history training; contextualizing images and visuals as a way to better understand worldview and the human experience
